20. Substance Abuse
GOD:
On the issue of substance abuse - It is again unfair to arrest,
prosecute and imprison over 800,000 people In America alone for
possession and/or smoking weed. Now, there are different aspects to this
dilemma. The first is, of course, consuming any mind altering substance
comes with risk and consequences, almost all of the time with
devastating results that affect many people. I have created everything,
each with its own place and purpose to benefit mankind. However, abuse
of anything, from A to Z is hazardous to their health.
The human pleasure centers are all put together in one place in the
brain to serve a purpose but it is easily stimulated with a variety of
stimulants, not all useful, and a person can easily become addicted to
almost anything from food, to host of many, many substances, natural or
man-made.
Secondly, the law itself is being unfair as consuming alcohol, tobacco
and prescription drugs are legal/controlled substances, which goes to
the core of the issue of fairness in freedom of choice. Therefore, the
law infringes on the individual’s right in choosing what substance to
use or not to use.
Thirdly, passing laws to ban substance abuse rather than regulating it
only pushes the users underground and into the hands of criminals by
pushing the price of simple weed that practically grows anywhere to be
worth its weight in gold. And with it, decay in the society, as the lure
of easy money, fast life, ignorance, lack of other opportunities and
education brings about the foot soldiers, the users the drug lords need
to fill a very lucrative demand in the village and all around the world.
The current brazen drug wars in Mexico and other parts of the world with
police out gunned by the drug cartels are a direct result of laws
banning these substances. Thus, creating a very profitable and easy
money black market with a double edge sword, as with the laws on the
book come the costly enforcement, trials and imprisonments, all paid for
by the villagers. It is moral and less costly to educate My children
than to imprison the lost souls in cold and inhuman cell blocks without
any hope and a way out as My heart goes to them!
