17. Loss of Trust
GOD:
One of the worst byproducts of war and militarism is the loss of trust. And once the trust is gone, so goes the village, as trust and
honor are the foundations of any union between two – the nucleus of a
family – or more – the village. No family or village will ultimately
survive a trustless, deceiving and conniving union. The metaphor of
“doing business just by a handshake” was the sole reason for the world’s
advancement and growth. Of course, there were those who didn’t honor
their unions and/or commitments for the quick pleasure or profit or
power. They were small in number and were ousted from the village, but
today dishonesty has become an epidemic. A survey of 12th
graders on the question of honesty was alarming and embarrassing when
over 90% of the students indicated they would cheat or lie if they can
get away with it. Another heartbreaking revelation was the result of a
survey on honesty and honor revealing that 76% of their MBAs, 75% who
are lawyers and 56% of who are physicians admitted that they have
cheated on their exams.
Now, again I blame the church for allowing that to happen simply because
the church hierarchy itself is a flaw by doing the opposite of My
commandments and Your teachings. What is the future of a village when
their most precious possessions, their young, are growing with no
honesty or trust? As I said before, “a village of thieves and connivers”
is a “dark hole” of despair and grimness that I don’t wish upon any of
My children, as they deserve better.
They must turn the village into a place where trust and honor are the foundation of
its existence, a place where they can trust their friends, neighbors and
strangers alike.
All I see are the reports of wrong doings of big corporations – the same
corporations that their Supreme Court ruled as “men,” are settled
proudly by the so called “government of the people, by
the people, for the people,” although look large and impressive,
are a fraction of the profit those misguided corporations gained from their
illegal ventures. Case and point; the recent $3 billion fraud settlement
with the giant pharmaceutical company
GlaxoSmithKline(1)
is small change
compared to the profits they
made from their fraud. No one should profit from their fraud and
conniving rather they should lose all they gained and much more if the
punishment is going to prevent them and others from committing any future fraud.
These types of fraud not only don’t benefit the villagers, but they
actually prey on the sick and desperate which in My eyes is
insidious and outright a crime.
Blessed are the villagers. The good news is they can start all over
again, all made possible by the Internet and social networking. Social
media can be used to start a trusted community with those who haven’t
lost their morals and values that I bestowed upon them, which I’m
certain are the 99% majority. It is then the others on the fringe will
find salvation, as any man given the helping hand and love desires to be
righteous and live as an honest villager with an honest church and a
caring “government of the people, by the people, for
the people!”
